California Prison Director Resigns
Roderick Hickman, director of California’s beleaguered prison system, resigned Saturday. Hickman, who was featured in Q&A in the September/October issue of Correctional News, pledged to reform several aspects of the prison system during his tenure, but he achieved only minor results. Insiders say he was upset with lack of support from Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. Read more, HERE.
