Logging System

A new reconfigurable data logging system that enables facility managers to access a variety of energy and monitoring applications has been released by Onset Computer Corporation. The HOBO FlexSmart logger uses snap-in signal conditioning modules to convert signals from most sensors, eliminating the need for facility operators to carry several different third-party sensors.

FlexSmart input modules can measure true RMS, AC current and voltage, power demand and energy consumption, differential air pressures, pulse and contact closure, and gauge pressure. They can also measure environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. Once a sensor is connected to FlexSmart, its settings are saved into the system’s memory, allowing the FlexSmart to automatically recognize the sensor during future uses.
