Kroll to Manage California Background Checks

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — New York-based risk consulting firm Kroll Government Services Inc. will conduct pre-employment background investigations on prospective employees and agents under a new contract with California ‘s Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.


The CDCR has a large number of pre-employment background checks awaiting investigation and awarded the one-year contract, which has an estimated value of more than $5 million, in an effort to eliminate the backlog of security-clearance verifications, officials say.


Kroll Government Services, a subsidiary of Kroll, manages the group’s compliance monitoring services and provides security clearance background investigation and verification services to local, state and federal government agencies.
