The New Jersey Meadowlands Commission, which, among other things, created nature preserves out of what was a vast wasteland, celebrates its 40th anniversary with a Governor’s Roundtable program at DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst and announces a series of special events to mark four decades of environmental protection among 14 communities.
