Pan Ceiling System
Kane Detention announced the release of its new Security Metal Pan Ceiling System. The ceiling system is the latest addition to its already existing Security Plank Ceiling System, detention screens and mesh products. Its ceiling system ensures there is no easy access to into the plenum space at any point in the ceiling, with the exception of optional access doors or exit panels, according to the company. The panels are held in place by engaging the splayed, upturned legs under the square bulb of an extra-heavy-duty suspension system. It is available in steel or stainless steel perforated tiles, with the choice of a painted or natural finish. It is formed from 18-gauge steel and other gauges are also available. Minimum dimension is 24 inches x 24 inches and maximum dimension is 24 inches x 48 inches.
The system is designed to work well in low-clearance areas including cells, showers, toilets, holding spaces and visitation rooms, but also is applicable for uses in areas with higher ceilings. Kane’s security product line offers correctional facility architects and detention equipment contractors an extensive variety of options to choose from.
Kane Detention products are the preferred choice of the U.S. Marshals Service for secure areas in all federal courthouses.
