Ayodele (Ayo) Yusuf
Ayodele (Ayo) Yusuf, Assoc. AIA, has been named to the 2019 Board of Directors of the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIANY). Yusuf’s appointment was recently made official at the AIANY 2019 Board Inaugural reception at the Center for Architecture. Yusuf joins the board following his successful and very active tenure as a 2018 Advisor for AIANY’s prestigious Civic Leadership Program. “On behalf of the entire firm, we offer Ayo a heartfelt congratulations on his appointment to the AIANY Board of Directors,” said Perkins Eastman Chairman and CEO Bradford Perkins. “Ayo’s career is still a young one, but he has already accomplished so much. His design expertise, his leadership skills, and his work ethic have all earned him the respect and trust of his colleagues and peers, and I have every confidence these facets will become invaluable to the Board and its leadership in the coming year.” In his 10+ years as an architect, urban designer, and resiliency expert, Yusuf has distinguished himself as a trusted design and thought leader, not only at Perkins Eastman but in the greater NYC community and within the industry at large. Yusuf earned his MAUD from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and his B.Arch from the University of Arkansas.
