IrisAccess may be used for both staff and inmates and is effective in a wide variety of applications, particularly in ingress/egress intensive areas such as staff break rooms and work-release centers.

The LG IrisAccess 3000 is designed with voice prompt, auto-focus, enrollment and fast recognition. From up to 10 inches away an individual looks into the camera and the LG IrisAccess 3000 captures the iris pattern, digitally processes it (into a 512-byte IrisCode record), compares it to those stored in the database and makes the identification. Pin numbers and passwords are not required.

When a new user’s eye is in position, the camera automatically zooms to focus on the iris. When the iris is in focus, the image is captured through a frame grabber and transformed into a coded record. The code is then registered into the service PC and can be downloaded to the identification control unit.
