Contractor Group Awards Firm For Federal Project

The Associated General Contractors of America awarded Dick Pacific Construction Company, Ltd., a 2006 Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering award for the firm’s work on the U.S. penitentiary and federal prison camp project in Tuscon, Ariz.

The project was complex and involved several major stakeholders. Watch towers at the facility are 50 feet high and posed a challenge for Dick Pacific and subcontractors, according to reports. However, the construction team “successfully developed ideas that saved time, cost and improved productivity while maintaining quality,” according to AGCA.
