AJA Partners with University for Degrees

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — Columbia Southern University entered a partnership agreement with the American Jail Association to offer educational benefits to the organization’s 4,000 members.


The online university offers associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the fields of criminal justice and criminal justice administration. Under the partnership with the online university, AJA members and their families can benefit from tuition discounts, application-fee waivers and free textbooks.


Career-specific educational accreditation can increase the earning potential of criminal justice personnel by up to 30 percent, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.


CSU operates partnerships with approximately 20 criminal justice organizations, including the National Sheriffs’ Association and the International Union of Police Associations.
