Roger Weholtz
Roger Weholtz is the new interim leader for the Colorado Department of Corrections. Tending to the prison system, Weholtz is also expected to lead efforts already underway to evaluate the state’s parole system, work on the Prison Utilization Study, as well as repurpose the Fort Lyon Correctional Facility and implement the department’s strategic plan. Weholtz, who retired from the Kansas Department of Corrections in December 2010, comes to his new position with 28 years of corrections experience under his belt.
