Maine Department of Corrections Issues RFQ for $149 Million Project
WINDHAM, Maine — Maine’s Department of Corrections (DOC) wishes to procure architectural/engineering services from a firm experienced in the design of secure correctional facilities. This project will be for the Maine Correctional Center renovation and new construction, which is located at 17 Mallison Falls Road in Windham.
Of special interest to the department are firms that have experience with the construction manager at-risk alternative project delivery method, as well as traditional project delivery methods for construction.
The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, functional programming, schematic design, schedule and budget estimating, design development, contract documents and construction administration. The firm may be required to coordinate this work or additional work with other consultants contracted by the owner.
The total project is valued at approximately $149 million. Qualifications packages are due at 1:00 p.m. on Nov. 10, 2016 at Maine Dept. of Corrections, 111 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333-0111, Attn: Gary LaPlante.
