Lance Couch
Lance Couch, a construction industry professional with experience in the design and construction of detention, commercial and health care facilities, has joined Layton Construction Company LLC as vice president. He will focus wholly on the pursuit and construction of justice and detention projects. Couch has spent time in virtually every position in the management of construction projects. His understanding of effective design and construction strategies and techniques, paired with deep collaboration with project stakeholders, ensures successful and predictable project outcomes. Detention facilities, of which Couch has played a role in design, construction, renovation or commissioning, are located in five states, comprise over 5,000 beds, and have an aggregate construction value nearing $300 million. The depth of Couch’s detention construction experience is reinforced by over $425 million of health care projects completed in 16 states. Couch is a graduate of Auburn University, with a degree in building construction and holds an MBA degree from Vanderbilt University.
