Anti-Ligature Gasketing
Door jambs need gasketing to control sound, cold or heat, and they can also be fire-rated to safeguard the room for required time codes, depending on door and frame material. To prevent the gasketing from being used for other than it’s intended purposes, Zero’s rubber seal is sectioned or scored prior to insertion into aluminum housings or strip application to doors so that it breaks into small sections to prevent harm to self or others. Zero’s patented material is installed like any gasketing and functions normally for it’s specified use but designed to break-off if anyone tries to remove the gasketing. The option is available with many Zero models when specified, for use on head and jamb of the doorframe or meeting stiles on double doors. It can also be available for use on windows.
