GSA Signs Jacobs for Federal Courthouse

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Plans for a new $112 million federal building and U.S. Courthouse in Nashville are under way and U.S. General Services Administration has appointed Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. to provide construction management services.


The 358,372-gross-square-foot building will have 11 courtrooms, featuring one special, six district and four magistrate courtrooms. In addition, there will be 14 chambers and 55 interior parking spaces.


The contract with Jacobs includes document preparation, estimate review and/or independent estimate development, review and written comment preparation associated with design development, on-site construction management, and payment review.


A construction date has not been scheduled for the project.


GSA and Jacobs have previously teamed up to work on 26 federal courthouse projects. The company provides full-spectrum support to industrial, commercial and government clients across multiple markets.
