Sandra Mueller

Sandra Mueller has been named the first female warden for the Ocean County, N.J. Department of Corrections. Mueller first joined the county in 1983 as a penal counselor and was promoted to higher positions four times throughout her tenure. She most recently served as the county’s chief of administrative services, a position she had held since 1999. Mueller was also a member of the department’s executive management team, which oversaw the county jail expansion project in 2011, and is a certified public and jail manager. She also served for two years as the director of social rehabilitative services.
