Charles L. Goodman
Brinkley Sargent Wiginton Architects added another layer of expertise to its corrections-focused design team with Senior Associate/Senior Project Manager Charles L. Goodman. Goodman brings 30 years of experience to oversee the firm’s design of correctional facilities, helping develop jails, prisons, and correctional medical and mental health care facilities around the world. Goodman has worked in Indiana, Florida and Texas, and is a retired lieutenant colonel officer from the U.S. Army Reserve. He served as a Corps of Engineers platoon leader, operations officer, company commander and facility engineering team leader over a span of 32 years. Goodman was awarded the Bronze Star Medal after he served a tour of duty in Uzbekistan and Afghanistan where he was master planner of the Karshi-Khanabad Airbase in Uzbekistan and the humanitarian medical base in Masri-e Sharif, Afghanistan. Other high-profile projects in which Goodman was involved include the Kuwait Correctional Facilities Complex; the Graceville, Fla., Correctional Facility; and the El Paso County, Texas, Jail Annex Addition.
